Section 1. Westside scenes

This mural shows snapshots from the barrio, including an elder woman gazing at a photograph and a cross, a woman bearing a torch, an altar, mariachis singing a Mother’s Day serenata, basketball courts near Inner City Development, a Spurs superfan dressed as Darth Vader, kids piling into a van on the way to a Spurs game, and children feeding birds at Elmendorf Lake across from the restaurant El 7 Mares.
