FOSTERING HUMAN & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASED ARTS SINCE 1993.
San Anto Cultural Arts is a San Antonio, TX nonprofit founded in 1993 with the mission to foster human and community development through community-based arts. A focus on art through community engagement led to the creation of our community-based arts programs: the Community Mural Program, the El Placazo Community Newspaper, and the After School Arts Program (ASAP). These dynamic programs engage residents and foster the talents of youth by educating them on the history and techniques of public art while documenting and preserving the rich history and heritage of San Antonio's Westside.

San Anto Cultural Arts is proud to present our largest fundraiser of the year, the 21st Annual Huevos Barrio Gala and Art Auction! The Huevos Rancheros Gala and Silent Art Auction began in 1999 as an event centered around the traditions of the Hispanic and Latino community, culture, music, art, family fun, and of course, Huevos Rancheros. This year, we celebrate the talent of local artists, and the year of programming we provided in 2024 to over 500 youth and 800 community members. This year we are proud to host roughly 200 community members at the gala, complete with artisan and a children’s mural making area, as well as live music and entertainment.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Please consider investing in our free community arts programming through a sponsorship or in-kind donation to Huevos Rancheros. Your support will ensure that this year’s Huevos Rancheros gala is the most successful yet, which means we can continue to support our Westside youth and community through dynamic and educational programming. Your sponsorship will help fund our El Placazo Community Newspaper & Mentor Program, as well as the Community Mural & Public Art Program, two programs that have served San Antonio for 30 years thanks to the continued support of community members like you.
At San Anto, the process of art production is just as important as the end product. Through free Hispanic and Latino cultural arts programming, we build participants’ self-esteem and empower them to not only create dynamic works of art, but also to strive for success in all they do. This year we will complete our 62nd mural, multiple restorations, and six issues of our community newspaper, El Placazo.
Huevos Rancheros Barrio Gala and Art Auction is not only a part of Westside Hispanic cultura and history, it is San Anto Cultural Arts’ primary fundraiser. A grassroots nonprofit, San Anto depends greatly on proceeds from the Huevos Rancheros Gala to finance its work in the community. Your sponsorship will fund the El Placazo Community Newspaper & Mentor Program and the Community Mural & Public Art Program, two programs that have served San Antonio for over 30 years.
