San Anto Cultural Arts is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 1993 with the mission to foster human and community development through community-based arts. A focus on art through community engagement led to the creation of two community-based arts programs: The Community Mural & Public Art Program, and El Placazo Community Newspaper & Mentor Program. These dynamic programs engage residents and foster the talents of youth by educating them on the history and techniques of public art. Our programs document and preserve the rich history and heritage of the Westside.
OFFICIAL Monthly Mural Tours
San Anto invites our community to be part of our monthly mural tours. We will be going through the Westside to see the hard work our Muralists have completed in our barrio. The tour will consist of over 10 murals with background information and artist method.
