We are gearing up for the 17th annual Huevos Rancheros Gala to be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9 am to 12 pm at Plaza Guadalupe, 1327 Guadalupe Street. We will once again enjoy delicious huevos rancheros prepared by Chef Johnny Hernandez of True Flavors Catering while listening to great music and auctioning off incredible arte.
Over the years, we have impacted tens of thousands of community members. In fact, we served 370 youth just last year—more than double that of 2012! With a focus on the process over the product, we build their self-esteem and empower them to not only create dynamic works of art, but also to strive for success in all they do, especially in school. In 2013, our youth created 6 issues of El Placazo, 2 large-scale murals, 9 mini murals, a youth photography exhibit, an interactive press, a film about the effects of graffiti on the community, our first SLAM poetry event, and so much more. The talent our youth exhibit is only recognized when afforded opportunities such as those offered by San Anto Cultural Arts.
What to expect:
-Delicious breakfast
-A cash bar- micheladas & mimosas!
-Fresh art at the art auction
-Music by Henry Zimmerle & DJ Sneaky LeSneak
-Good times
-Honoring King Huevo David Gonzales & Queen Huevo Antonia Castaneda
