Description of Mural:  The mural Basta Con La Violencia is dedicated to the memory of labor leader and United Farm Worker founder, Cesar Chavez.  Mr. Rico utilizes the slogans Basta Con La Violencia and Si Se Puede to create a strong message of non-violence and dedication to community activism.  The public art piece memorializes and symbolizes the struggles and hardships that Cesar Chavez, boycotting marchers, and farm workers experienced during the height - 60’s and 70’s - of the UFW’s battle for farm worker civil and human rights.  Que viva la causa, que viva Cesar Chavez!
